In Inca mythology, Supay was both the god of death and ruler of the Uca Pacha as well as a race of demons. The Uca Pacha is literally the Incan Underworld. It is now roughly translated into "devil" by some Southern American countries.
In some areas of Peru, the Quechuan people continue the tradition of Mamacha Candicha which is roughly translated from "The flame virgin" and is a festival with dancing lasting up to two weeks. The dance of the Supay can still be exhibited for tourists and other occasions not necessarily related to Mamacha Candicha.
Supay is also the working title of a 2009 horror film starring Mira Sorvino and Paul Reubens about a South American serial killer actually being a type of lycanthrope from the Andean Mountains.
